FREE Book Giveaways- Iron House

buy used books cheapBooks are my favorite things.  I buy old books when I can and new books when I have to. I buy used books cheap and cheap books used.  The only thing better than a new book is a cheap book and the only thing better than a cheap book is a free book.

And that’s why I have decided to embark on a series of free book giveaways here at Dunce Academy.  I have been fortunate enough to get free books from a number of free online giveaways and sweepstakes, and have decided to spread the love.  So, without further ado, I am pleased to present…

Iron House by best-selling author John Hart.  I won it from a Goodreads giveway, and read it in just a couple days.  Could not put it down.  Fast-paced, exciting, lots of twists and surprises.  Kept me guessing, and made me want more.

If you want it, it’s yours.  Here’s what you have to do to enter for your chance to win:

  1. Go to the “Daily duh” box just to the right of this posting here at dunceacademy.com and enter your e-mail address  to subscribe to Dunce Academy.
  2. Below this post (the post you are currently reading and getting excited about), leave a comment telling us in as many words as you want why you deserve this free book.
  3. Sit back, cross your fingers, and get excited for October 31, 2011, when the lucky winner will be announced (the winner will be contacted for a shipping address).

That’s it!  That’s all you’ve got to do!  It’s so simple, even a dunce could do it!  So what are you waiting for?  Sign up, dazzle us with your post, and this gripping new novel from John Hart could be yours! (points will be given for creativity, originality, and activity on the site).

I only have one copy of this book, but there will be lots more to come.  Please check back for your chance to win the next book contest.

Best of luck, Dunces!!!  See you October 31st!

  1. I would like this book because I love to read (who doesn’t?) and this book sounds really amazing. I would definitely post up reviews of this book on Amazon and other sites. I would also give away the book once I’m done with it so that even more people can enjoy such a promising book and in the same manner as I have (because everyone loves the word “FREE”).

  2. I would like this book because, of course, I adore/love to read. I have a whole family of readers and the book would be well read by us all 🙂 My 4 kids are big readers just like mom! Thanks for the chance to win this book.

    • Dawn, I haven’t talked with D2 yet, but I think he meant put your email into the “daily duh” email box over on the right hand sidebar. Then I think he’ll figure out the winner from the list of subscribers.

I say this just because I took your email out of your comment. I don’t want everyone to be able to see your personal address.

      D2, correct me/us if that’s wrong, please.

      • That’s right, Dunce One, and sorry for any confusion. I need you to subscribe so I know how to contact you when you win, but don’t want the world to know your e-mail address. I have gone back and changed the instructions in the post so that hopefully it is more clear. Sorry for any confusion; I was just so excited!

  3. Love to win a copy of the book Iron House by John Hart…..and I well pass it on when I have finished reading it to……..babyruthmac

    • Hi Linda, sorry for any confusion. I have altered the instructions just slightly to make them more clear. My intention was for your email address to be entered in the the “Daily duh” subscription box to the right. A winner will be selected from our list of subscribers. Please do that, and wait for your chance to win. Good luck!

  4. I also entered for this on another site and didnt win it. I like to win books or buy them at yard sale read them then pass them on to others that enjoy reading.

  5. Readser by nature, Bookworm by choice. I like free things most especially books. Base on reviews that I had read, this is an amazing book. This book is a must have for my book cabinet. *crossfingers 🙂

  6. CONGRATULATIONS to Dawn Doyle, she is the lucky winner of Dunce Academy’s first, but definitely not last, FREE Book Giveaway! She has been contacted with the good news, and has 24 hours to respond, or a new winner will be selected.

Thanks to everyone for participating, and stay tuned. More free books and other fun are on the way!
