Dunces, dunces, there is an author in our midst. Dunce One is The World’s Strongest Librarian, and his memoir is being released just one week from today. If you haven’t heard anything about his book, you can check out his other blog, go to Amazon, or just Google it and go crazy, because he has been receiving a lot of notice and coverage. Even Oprah wants in. All much deserved. Believe the hype!
Experiencing all this second hand, and so still relatively uninitiated in the vast and exciting world of publishing, I’m not exactly sure how it all works. But I do know that, even though the book does not officially release until May 2nd, you can pre-order a copy from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or any number of other places. Any pre-orders count towards first week sales, which goes into the calculus of determining “best-seller” status, awards, and all that stuff. Which isn’t the only reason to get on board; the book is great in its own right. But pre-ordering gets it to you sooner and helps Dunce One get the praise and recognition he deserves.
The story is funny, moving, and inspirational. Don’t miss out on your chance to get in on the action.
